The Couple & The Vision
Solay, a Jewish-Persian groom, and Daria, a Russian bride, first met in Tulum and knew instantly that this magical destination was where they wanted to celebrate their love. When they reached out to us, their brief was clear and intentional:
A luxurious beachfront wedding in Tulum.
A James Bond meets Burning Man theme.
A celebration that began with romance and tradition and transitioned into a wild, unforgettable party.
A big beachfront mansion where their loved ones could stay and celebrate under one roof.
A helicopter arrival for the groom and a grand, cinematic entrance for the couple.
The Discovery Process
Through our discovery process, we worked closely with Solay & Daria to refine their vision. While they initially leaned towards a wedding venue in Soliman Bay, we guided them toward the untouched magic of Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve—one of the most pristine and prestigious beachfront locations in Mexico.
We scouted over 30+ properties online and arranged site inspections of 8-9 top villas before securing a truly extraordinary hacienda:
800 meters of private beachfront.
9 luxury suites for the couple and their closest guests.
A helicopter landing pad, rooftop sunset lounge, cocktail terrace, beachfront ceremony space, and private dock for arrivals by boat.
This was one of the most exclusive properties in Quintana Roo—an investment in luxury that perfectly aligned with their once-in-a-lifetime vision.
Designing the Experience
The wedding was designed to feel like a journey: beginning with sacred romance, unfolding into elegant luxury, and culminating in a Burning Man-inspired festival until sunrise.
Day 1: Welcome Reception at Casa Malca
Private areas at the iconic Casa Malca hotel, opened exclusively for the couple (a first for the property).
A warm evening gathering where guests arrived, mingled, and felt the energy building.
Day 2: Wellness & Cultural Experiences
Men and women enjoyed a wellness day with dedicated rituals and relaxation.
A private Turkish-style dinner in honor of the couple’s first date.
Day 3: The Wedding Day
From start to finish, the day unfolded as a masterclass in balance between love, tradition, and pure celebration.
The Ceremony
Guests welcomed with cocktails before being led into the ceremonial space by a shamanic shell call.
The couple’s journey honored with a Seven Directions Mayan blessing.
Mayan dancers, live guitar, violin, and bridesmaids/groomsmen entrances.
The groom performed a song he had written for his bride, debuting it in front of family and friends.
The bride made her grand entrance accompanied by violin, followed by traditional Jewish rituals including breaking the glass.
Cocktail Hour & Grand Entrance
Guests enjoyed live entertainment, a 360° video booth, and cocktails.
The couple returned for their grand entrance with fireworks and live drummers.
Guests waved napkins in celebration as the energy soared.
Dinner & Speeches
Elegant plated dinner service (transitioned from the couple’s original buffet idea to elevate the experience).
Toasts and speeches from loved ones, followed by the couple’s first dance, sung live by the emcee.
The Party – Burning Man Comes to Tulum
Live band performances, fire dancers, neon shows, and performance artists.
A full DJ lineup from cocktail hour to sunrise, with talent flown in from LA and Ibiza.
Bespoke AV production with projection mapping on the hacienda.
Midnight snacks, open bar, cake cutting, bouquet toss, and endless dancing.
Hourly pre-arranged shuttles for guests who needed to leave.
As dawn broke, the closest family and friends remained—dancing until sunrise.
Challenges & Triumphs
The week of the wedding brought heavy rain—threatening to derail the outdoor beachfront plan. Saleh, deeply faithful, made the call: “We stick with Plan A. God will protect us.” Against all odds, the skies cleared on the wedding day. Not a drop of rain fell, leaving the couple and guests with a truly divine experience.
